Friends With Business
So, here I am--starting this podcast! I'm so excited to start this journey and celebrate the amazing entrepreneurs in our community.
On each episode of FWBP, I chat with entrepreneurs from a wide range of industries to get their take on achieving success. We talk about their stories, strategies and lessons learned along the way. We'll have inspiring stories from entrepreneurs who are succeeding despite the odds, get tips on how to stay motivated and productive, and uncover hidden gems of knowledge that we can all learn from. Plus, we'll also dive into sales strategies, marketing tactics, and financial planning. Of course, it's not all smooth sailing - so we also talk about the challenges faced when launching a business and how to overcome them.
We also have a segment called "Friends with benefits" where listeners will receive an exclusive deal or discount from a featured business.
Together, we'll explore what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur in today's landscape, learn from each other's experiences and successes, and have some fun along the way. So, stay tuned and join me on this adventure!

Debunking the Myth: "Dead" Isn't Really Dead in Business
Have you ever fallen for the "XYZ is dead" gimmick? It's a clever marketing tactic designed to distract you from what's truly effective. But fear not, because in this episode, we expose the hidden agenda behind these claims and reassure you that if something is working for you, it's far from being "dead."
It's not about abandoning what works, but rather enhancing its effectiveness. We emphasize that every methodology has its purpose and place in business. So, instead of burying what's working for you based on someone else's opinion, tune in, and let's redefine the true meaning of "dead" in the business world!

Most of the time, when somebody says that something is dead, it really means they want you to do the new thing, to put them at the front of the line. Right, because things that are working work, right, they'll continue to work. You know, like people say, to talk on the phone is dead, but what happens is individuals get into a business or they get into a field and it's dominated, a methodology is dominated by somebody else, right, and so what happens is, you know, because of how technology works, a new thing comes along, right. And so when that new thing comes along, you know, people will often say stuff like you know, the old way is dead, and that's because they're trying to remove the quote-unquote industry leader so that they can be put at the front of the line. I'm live, all right, what's good, y'all? I had a little technical difficulty the last time, but yeah. So look on today's episode of no Paper, no Ink, just what I think you know I wanted to talk about. You know something I hear people say all the time X, y, z is dead. X Y Z is dead. Yo, that's dead. I mean essentially. So here's the trick, right? It's a marketing trick, right? I'm going to give y'all a little tip to the back Most of the time, when somebody says that something is dead, it really means they want you to do the new thing, to put them at the front of the line. Right, because things that are working work right. They'll continue to work. You know, like people say, to talk on the phone is dead. It's not. Telemarketers still exist. But what happens is individuals get into a business or they get into a field and it's dominated. A methodology is dominated by somebody else, right? And so what happens is, you know, because of how technology works, a new thing comes along right. And so when that new thing comes along, you know, people will often say stuff, like you know, the old way is dead and that's because they're trying to remove the quote unquote industry leader so that they can be put at the front of the line. They're like well, this is dead, that is dead.
Speaker 1:Like people say, email is dead. Email is not dead. People check the email every day, but what they're trying to do is get you to use the way and the methodology that they use to market, right. So you know, no matter what you're doing, no matter what you're a part of, you're going to hear somebody say it's dead. And that's to get you to pivot. But stay focused. If you have a methodology that is working, just let it work. You know, find somebody who's doing it and who's doing it well, and follow them. Like even this video which says insert XYZ is dead, that's dead. Like saying stuff is dead is dead.
Speaker 1:The reason I'm saying it myself is to put me at the front of the line. So you hit me up and say, well, what's the live, carl? You know, say so, send me a text, send me email, send me a DM. Like what's the live in business? What helps you know, what moves forward? You know. Like you know. And now there may be methods that work better now. Like, for instance, email, you know, at the very highest level, gets about a 10% open rate, but SMS texting gets about. I think it's almost a 97% over rate. That doesn't mean email is dead. That just means you have to be more effective when using email, because email is still cheaper than texting, you know. So that's kind of how you want to look at stuff. So you know, don't let people jumping, jumping in and jumping on saying that something that you do is dead. Let you bury it Right. They're doing it to position themselves to move forward.
Speaker 1:Now I'm going to tell you this. So, as I just said, using the phrase that something, something, something is dead is dead, yes, what that means, it's not dead. So use it Exactly, use the methodology. Is that a dog? What is Marley? What are you doing? I'm sorry dog is jumping in the video and saying something Marley, you want to have the people? Yeah, come here. I See he ain't even took me. You know I did he's. I had I dropped some food in the ground. That's why he's in here. But yeah, so anyway, like you, like a cat videos, it did um, but you know it's not.
Speaker 1:So what I want you to do now is take every methodology that you have, everything that you do that you know has been working, and work on it. Now, if you need to do something, implement something new, bringing somebody, do that, but never kill off what's been working of. You know you may scale it back and all of that. But emails not dead. Going live is not dead. Webinars are not dead. None of that stuff is dead, it's still work. Snail mail it's not dead. If you do it right, it'll always work. That's, that's what I wanted to talk about today. So, on this installment of no paper, no ink, just what I think. Thank y'all for coming through. Hopefully I see y'all later. If you have any questions, comments, concerns metaphysical speculations, please reach out to me. Also, buy my book. Go to wwwsevendaybusinessplancom and get it. Today the price actually already go up on Amazon, so you save money by going to the website, for the Amazon algorithm is changing stuff up. But yeah, so $20 and includes shipping and handling. I will highlight y'all later. Have a great one.
